Policy Bazar Hospital
Gurugram, Haryana
This project reimagines an existing office building as a high-performance healthcare facility, demonstrating the potential of adaptive reuse in hospital design. The original structure is retained and reinterpreted through a new architectural language, reducing construction time, cost, and overall environmental impact while delivering a contemporary medical environment.
The planning is centered around a privacy-first approach, with all patient accommodations designed as single rooms. This ensures enhanced patient dignity, improved infection control, and a more personalized care experience—aligned with evolving post-pandemic healthcare standards.
The design also focuses on creating a more comfortable and reassuring environment. Natural light, integrated greenery, and the use of warm materials soften the clinical setting, while carefully designed public areas introduce a hospitality-like quality. Elements such as refined finishes and open, well-lit spaces contribute to a calm and premium atmosphere for patients and visitors.
The project brings together efficiency, sustainability, and user experience, showcasing how adaptive reuse can deliver a healthcare facility that is both functional and emotionally responsive.
